The Southampton dock is a convection space between different energies from the city and the port. This space encompasses the city in a shoreline and opens on the ocean’s infinity.
In this vast panoramic viewpoint on the harbour framing the city, the functional light is soft. It ensures safety without any glares or interfering lights in the harbour nightlife.
Simple, yet sturdy tall candelabras are deployed in a unique alignment, befitting the scale of the city, and marking Le Havre’s coastline with a drastic and unprecedented stroke.
While avoiding disrupting the marine traffic, this light installation was inspired by the port aesthetic. It was our breadcrumb trail in order to create a “marine” environment lighting scheme.
